A descendant of noted Scottish author and poet, Sir Walter Scott,
Rich is a talented artist poised for commercial success...

Rich is an author, poet, artist, and professional photographer on the way up!Although he has been writing about something all of his life, his first novel, The Killing Frost: An American Tragedy, was not published until 2000.  It is a given that new authors have virtually no chance in obtaining an agent, a publisher, or even professional reviews without an inordinate amount of luck, but Rich did not let this stop him.  With assistance from IndyPublish.com, he self-published his first book and received critical praise from all who read it.

In 2002, he followed with his second novel, Jacob's Pal, and PublishAmerica offered to publish the book for him.  There followed another critical success and Rich began to cultivate a following of readers.  His third book, Plant An Evil Seed, and published in 2004 by PublishAmerica, was his first crime novel and drew heavily on his twenty-years of experience as a police officer.  Again... nothing but rave reviews as his readership continued to grow from merely a handful of friends and relatives, into thousands of fans.

A stickler for detail, Rich meticulously researches every aspect of each of his books with the same accuracy as when he researched for his PhD in Criminology at the University of Oklahoma.  His writings, his art, and his photography all reflect his attention to the smallest detail.

His next novel, Invisible Sword, is his first spy novel and promises to be his very best thus far.  It is expected to catapult him into "the big time" and should be on book shelves by 2007.

In addition to his novels, Rich has also written several short stories and a plethora of poetry.  His poems are of every subject and style and will put your emotions through the wringer.  Be prepared to laugh out loud on some and maybe even have a hanky handy for a few.  This site contains, as well, some personal photographs and many fine examples of his artistry with a camera.  You are invited to browse the site and check out his work at your leisure.
